Allowing students to develop their self-reliance by being treated like young professionals means that not only do they succeed in Post 16 they are also fully prepared for the wider world by the time they leave.

#7 Impressive Leadership Opportunities

In Post 16 many students rise to the challenge of leadership roles. Such roles include Head Boy and Head Girl, mentoring lower school students and running sports clubs. Assuming leadership roles at an early age teaches students, the skills needed to make effective leaders. The attributes gained by participating in these opportunities help prepare the students for the many different paths available after Post 16 at Immanuel College. Leadership experience is also a great thing to write about in your UCAS application!

#8 Remarkable Specialist Teachers

#9 Student Voice

Student voice allows students to have a platform in which they can raise concerns and suggestions to staff. Without the students’ views and opinions, we may never be aware of issues or problems that they are encountering. This system is crucial for the continued development and improvement of the school. Input from the students allows us to focus our efforts on improvements and changes which, in turn, allows us to make positive changes that the students want and need.
