Homework and Remote Learning

At Immanuel College we actively promote home learning for several reasons:

  • Reinforcement of learning: Homework provides an opportunity for students to practice and reinforce what they've learned in class, helping to solidify their understanding of concepts.

  • Independent learning: Homework encourages students to develop self-discipline, time management, and problem-solving skills, fostering independence in their learning journey.

  • Assessment and feedback: It allows teachers to assess students' understanding and progress outside of the classroom, offering valuable feedback and insights into their strengths and weaknesses.

  • Preparation for future challenges: Homework prepares students for future academic and real-world challenges by promoting research, critical thinking, and the application of knowledge.

  • Parental involvement: Homework can involve parents in their child's education, promoting communication between home and school and providing opportunities for parental support.

Teaching staff will log completed homework on class charts and students will gain reward points that can be used for events later in the academic year.
