Ski trip 2023

After a three-year break due to Covid, and a Year of planning. February 2023 saw the return of our ski trip and what a ski trip it was! Twenty-four students from Year eight up to eleven joined Mr Bowker and Miss Almond and for the very first time, Mr Turnbull.
Most of the students were beginner skiers so we decided to go to a resort called Tarvisio in Italy, which was well-known for beginners. By the end of the week, you would not have known that any of our ski party had only skied for five days, off they went skiing confidently down blue runs, leaving the teachers behind! On our final day, the students even competed in a slalom race, skiing over different jumps!
We knew after day one, how able this group of students were, the Italian ski school commented on how much progress was made just in the space of four hours of skiing!
The students must be congratulated on how impeccable their behaviour was for the entire week, even a short 8-hour delay coming home on the ferry did not phase them!
It was a very action-packed week, skiing every day, eating lots of different Italian food, not to mention the taste of an Italian pizza and an evening relaxing our tired legs in the Spa (well needed).
The trip was an absolute success. We started with twenty-four beginner skiers and arrived home with twenty-four intermediate skiers! Look out for more information on the 2024 ski trip coming out soon!
