Proposed bid for post 16 expansion
In recent years you may be aware that Immanuel College has increased its pupil admission number (PAN) to 300. As our students move up through the school, we will soon reach a point where all year groups will be at PAN. Typically, a high proportion of our year 11 students continue into the sixth form at Immanuel College and we therefore anticipate a corresponding increase in post-16 numbers over the next three years.
In order to accommodate the additional students, the school, with support from BDAT, are in the process of bidding to the Department for Education (DfE) for a significant amount of funding to allow a further extension block to be built. If we are successful, this will provide additional dedicated post 16 provision, and will mean that there is capacity for all future year 11 students at Immanuel to secure a place in the sixth form, should they wish.
We will continue to update you with the progress of the bid but, in the meantime, should you have any comments, please submit them using the online form provided.
